My stay at the hotel had its positives and negatives. The location was perfect for exploring downtown Iowa City, but the room lacked a view and was warm and stuffy, triggering my allergies. The service varied from welcoming and nice to a bit rude at times. Dining options were limited, forcing me to venture out in freezing temperatures, although the food quality was good.

The room was in a terrible location with no outside view, leading to a closed door to the pool area. It was warm and stuffy despite adjusting the thermostat.

The service ranged from very kind and helpful to more than rude. The front desk clerks were welcoming and nice overall.
Location

The hotel's location was great for exploring the university and downtown Iowa City. It was right on the pedestrian mall, but there were noise issues from delivery trucks.
Dining
7.0
The dining options were limited, requiring me to go out in sub-zero temperatures. However, the food quality was delicious and of good quality.
Facilities
The facilities were decent, but there were some issues with noise and the room layout.

7.2/10
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were unique - with an iron but no ironing board and a fridge but no microwave. While far from the elevators, my room was surprisingly quiet. However, the bathroom was tight and small. The service was exceptional, with the staff being very nice and making check-in and check-out super fast and easy. The location was convenient, within walking distance of downtown restaurants. Unfortunately, there were some cleanliness issues noticed around the area. The dining options were decent, but I had to venture out in sub-zero temperatures due to limited facilities nearby.

7.8/10
My stay was quite unique as I didn't have a room for the first three days, which was definitely inconvenient. However, the room I eventually got was one-of-a-kind, something I've never experienced in a hotel before. It was very comfortable with a big TV and a comfy bed, although it lacked a refrigerator or microwave.

Service
9.0
The service was great, especially in the evenings. The staff were nice and friendly, even remembering names. They offered dry cleaning, housekeeping, paid valet parking, and pet amenities.
Location
7.0
The location was perfect right in the downtown area, a quick few blocks from campus. It was charming for a walk with the dog, although the hotel seemed to be built diagonally across the street which was quite strange.
Dining
8.0
Dining was available on-premise, and the food was delicious and good quality. They even included fresh croissants.
